| Since opening in Summer 2009, The (Makers) Market featured more than 100 Makers and their wares along with the Park Slope Farmers Market who will join again each Sunday beginning on 12 December 2010. | Artisans working in all materials are invited to apply to join The (Makers) Market, and become a member of a community of Makers to exhibit and sell at either a single materials show or at the general market for an entire season or two, or both. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

The Old American Can Factory is a haven to a curated community of more than 200 artists, artisans, designers, filmmakers, publishers, non-profit organizations and cultural venues set in an historic industrial complex on the edge of the Gowanus Canal's Fifth St Basin in Brooklyn. |
Gowanus Valley is centrally nestled between Carroll Gardens and Park Slope, Boerum Hill and Red Hook. The (OA) Can Factory sits in the nexus of a neighborhood surrounded by many arts & culture destinations as well as eateries & shops, minutes walk in any direction. (More soon.) |
